Scouts from across the town collected more than 4 bin bags of litter during the clean-up organised by new Leader, Jo Bolton.
'I was absolutely delighted that so many of the Scouts gave up their own time for this community event' said Jo - also a Helping Hand team member. 'We distributed litterpickers and equipment donated by the Company and the Scouts had a great time clearing the area along the river'. The event attracted other local voluntary groups supported by the Scouts, including Ledbury in Bloom.
The litterpick has encouraged another community clean-up to take place tonight - clearing the Olympic Torch relay route as it passes through Ledbury on Thursday.
